| Data Center Details |
| Rackspace provides the world-class infrastructure necessary to keep our servers up and running uninterrupted around the clock. Rackspace's London data centre has been engineered with fully redundant connectivity, power and HVAC to avoid any single point of failure, and is staffed 24/7 by their highly-trained technical support personnel. And because the data centre is not open to the public, you can rest assured that only a handful of level-three technicians will be allowed in close physical proximity to our servers. |
| Bandwidth |
| They have agreements with several major connectivity providers. This ensures that the data centre has fully redundant connections to the Internet. A failure of any single provider will not result in downtime for servers located in the data centre. |
| Power |
| The data centre gets its power from commercial utility underground conduits with a 30-minute battery backup in the event of failure. Additionally, it also have a diesel generator with full-load capability and 18hr fuel supply on standby to provide long-term power in the event of an emergency. |
| HVAC |
| The data centre is kept at a constant temperature of 21°C, plus or minus 1°C, with humidity at a constant 45-55%. The facility has 200 tonnes of total cooling capacity - more than enough to maintain these temperatures and humidity levels. All our equipment is protected by an Aargonite (the environmentally-friendly alternative to Halon) fire suppression system. It is both safe and non-corrosive to electrical equipment. |
